Drew was invited to 2 birthday parties today so we had a busy Saturday. But it is always so much fun to see him having a good time. At the first party there was a giant waterslide. The kids were having a great time. The second party was at Musical Chairs where they sang songs and and danced around. Happy Birthday Mary Rose and Corbin.

Rebecca's Baby Dedication
On April 20th we had Rebecca's Baby Dedication at the church. It was a special time for us as a family. We committed to raise her in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Also to provide a Christian home teaching her the Bible by precept and example and praying for the day when she will come to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. What an awesome responsibility we have as parents. Rebecca is such a wonderful gift from God.

Bathing Beauty
When we told Drew that we were going swimming today, he got a huge smile on his face and said excitedly, "It's summertime!" Well Drew, it only feels like summer. He had a wonderful time jumping off the diving board.
It was Rebecca's first time to go swimming at the pool.
Here she is modeling the latest in infant swimwear. And planning to do a little digging!!
Happy First Birthday

Good Weekend
Good weekend... I thought so, not sure if Brett would agree since he did most of the work around the house. He planted some bushes and worked to finish the swing set (almost done!!).
I "splurged" (I couldn't resist a good deal, $2) and bought Drew (in his words) "a cool bike". We don't have to tell him that it was pre-owned (isn't that politically correct for used??). I love a good garage sale.

I bought Rebecca a new ride-on toy (again, I can't resist a deal), but I think that she would rather be given a leaf.

Good Day
The weather was so wonderful today. We were able to spend sometime outside playing with our neighbors. It was nice to not be fending off the mosquitoes or dealing with the humidity. We went to dinner with my parents and then over to Bob and Ooo Ooo's new house. I think Drew will be so disappointed when they get furniture over there. He loves to run around the empty house. Sometimes a three year old can be so easily entertained.

Happy Birthday Ooo Ooo!
Happy Birthday Mom!! Funny, they don't make Ooo Ooo cards.
Yesterday was a challenging day for Drew (and me). He had his first meltdown in Target. Strange that he would have it where he "works". (For some reason every time we mention Target, that is where he says his work is.) So there were lots of time outs and spankings yesterday. Being three can be hard when things don't seem to go your way. Thank goodness everyday brings something new. Today was Moms and Muffins at his school. He seemed excited that I would be at his school. As I drove out of the parking lot, I could see his big grin, waving bye to me. So sweet.

First Blog
Well here I go into a new adventure...blogging. Am I now one of those people?? I guess so. Hopefully I will keep up with it.
Days at our house (as everyone with kids knows) are so hectic. A big portion of my day is to try and keep items out of Rebecca's mouth. Everything and I mean everything goes in there. Grass, leaves, dirt, rocks, anything non-edible is so yummy. Of course, a piece of banana makes her frown.
Drew is busy going to school to do "his work". He also is enjoying his new swing and slide that daddy has been putting together. It was so sweet when he told me that he needed to "thank daddy for building his swing".
I love being a mommy!!
