Drew's Birthday

Drew wanted an all boy party for his 6th birthday. So we decided to have a camping party and invite a few friends from school and church. The boys shot bows and arrows, ate hot dogs, had a campfire and made smores, and had a bug hunt. Basically they were little boys and (I think) had a great time. Happy Birthday to my favorite boy!

Field Trip

Last week, Drew went on his first, school field trip to Dewberry Farm. We had never been before, but I heard it is a fun place. Drew rode on his first school bus. The farm was a neat place with lots of activities and the kids had a great time.

They had a room with over 500 carved pumpkins. Very impressive. They had carved pumpkins of Disney characters, Scooby Doo characters, animals, and even sports teams.

Drew wanted to continue his all things Star Wars so he was Boba Fett. I am still not sure who that is. Rebecca wanted to be a princess and chose Aurora, aka, Sleeping Beauty. What a combination!

Carnival Fun

The Saturday before Halloween, Brett went to College Station to see the Aggies play and Kelly and I took the kids to First Baptist's wonderful carnival! What fun! They had tons of bounce houses, a petting zoo, a pony ride, and other great activities for kids. It was a fun afternoon (topped off with a great Baylor win against UT!)

While Drew carefully aims to throw the hula hoop over the horses head, Becca just decides to not even bother trying to toss it!

Living Literature and Super Hero night

Drew's school celebrated Halloween with Living Literature Day. All the Pre-K and Kinder classes chose a book and the children dressed up as a character or main part of the book. The older classes dressed as a character they chose. Then there was a parade into the cafeteria for the parents. Drew's class was "The Cat in the Hat". It was so cute!

Later that night was the final appearance for the Super Heroes at our church. They have been the main characters for VBS for the last couple of years. Rebecca loves to listen to the songs and was so excited to go. She wasn't content to just sit in her chair, but felt the need to move to the music.
