Hockey Fun

 

Brett received some tickets to go see the Aeros. What a fun time we all had!!

Pow Wow and Sailing of the Mayflower

The kids' school does 2 really neat things. Each second grade class learns about a different Indian tribe and then holds a Pow Wow to share what they learned. Drew's class studied the Inuits.

 

Every year the school holds a Sailing of the Mayflower. First and Second Graders are the Pilgrims and Kindergarten are the Indians. There is a cardboard "replica" of the Mayflower that is the actual length of the ship. Turns out the Mayflower wasn't too long of a ship.

Drew's Birthday Party

I thought this party might not take place. I scheduled it (last minute b/c the week before Drew's birthday I was in co chair of our bookfair and couldn't handle 2 things at once) and then had to change the day and then since it was an outdoor party (of course) it threatened to rain. But it turns out the boys had fun just playing at the park. Brett planned some games, but the boys just ran and played. Love Drew's group of friends!

Drew turns 8

How do we have an 8 year old?? Drew loves to hear the story of his birth and since I was pretty out of it, I love to hear it too! What a special day for our family! Drew is a sweet boy who enjoys reading, being with people and anything outdoors. He loves to spend time with his dad and friends. He is a good student. We love you Drew and are so proud of you!
