We give Thanks!!

We have so many reasons to be thankful: our health, our families, Brett's job. I could go on and on. I was listening to a message on Focus on the Family and the man said that he had visited some poor areas in other countries where they dig through dumps looking for items and food. Then he said how those people would be so excited by our trash that we (Americans) throw out. Very convicting. Our garbage would be someone else's treasure. I am so fortunate that my kids don't have to eat out of the trash and I never worry that we will have 3 meals to eat or that we will have a roof over our head or be warm at night.
I spent a crazy Friday trying to juggle seeing my kids at both of their schools. Drew's school does a sailing of the Mayflower (the 2nd graders have speaking roles) so I went to see him be a Pilgrim on the boat. Then I went to Becca's school to see her sing and share in a "feast". Then I went back to visit Drew while they celebrated with some desserts. Crazy, yet Thankful.
We were able to spend Thanksgiving with my family and then with Brett's family. A nice family day with great food. Thankful!!

Scouts Go Camping

Drew and his scout group had their first overnight camping trip. Drew loved every minute (I am told!) There was a ceremony and he is an official tiger cub!

sssuper ssseven year old

For Drew's ssseventh birthday, I must have lost my mind. He is ssso into animals and wanted to have sssome kind of animal party. His cousin Carson had a sssnake party last year that Drew loved. Ssso good mom that I am, I hired the sssnake man to entertain at Drew's party. I guess it was better to have sssnakes come than to have lions or cheetahs, the animals that he is really into.

The group was very interested

She was right in the mix and loved every minute. Wonder if I will be doing this again in a few years. Of course, don't know if many girls would want to come to that party!

We all gave it a try. Dad!

Kelly and look who is right next to her, trying to get in a touch!

I gave it a try and was so happy to give that snake back to the handler.

Brett is ssso calm.

Can't believe that mom touched it!

Blowing (ssspitting) out the candles. That cupcake is all yours, Drew!
