Family Day
We had a nice family day at a park. We had a picnic, fed the ducks, tried to fish, and played on the playground. I know that I have another fisherman on my hands because Drew said, "I am sad because I didn't catch any fish." Made his daddy happy.

Pictures
Just a few pictures of the kids.
Note Rebecca's hand on Drew's knee. So sweet!
My wonderful girl.
She is "feeding" some decorative ducks.
Rebecca now communicates very well. Most of it is non-verbal. She will pull on your shirt to get you up to get what she wants, like her bottle. Or she will just go to the refrigerator. She goes and gets her shoes when she wants to go outside. She is getting her 2nd top tooth, so I can't call her snaggletooth for much longer. She is busy and so fun to watch.

Ike Aftermath

Ike update
We survived Ike. Brett, Jill, Kelly, Drew, Rebecca, and Belle had an eventful night on Friday. We spent the night in the hallway as the hurricane hit. Drew thought it was "special" to "camp out" in our house. Poor Belle shook the whole night. I guess dogs can sense things. We lost our back fence. And there were lots of tree branches down, but we consider ourselves very lucky. Will post pictures later. Hope all is well with everyone.

Ike is coming
Well all that is happening here is IKE. All the news for 2 days has been IKE. We've got ice, water, and moved outdoor stuff into the garage so hopefully we're prepared. I am not looking forward to being without electricity. Ugh, sometimes a mom needs a break and often a DVD does just the trick. Hopefully when I post next it will all be over. We pray God will watch over us and our families and friends.

Carson's Birthday
Our cousin, Carson, turned 8 on Sunday. Saturday afternoon he had his party at LazerRage. I think Brett was as excited as Drew to get to go. Rebecca and I dropped by for a few minutes before we went to Grammy and Papa's to wait for the rest of the party. But look, don't you think she had a fun few minutes "driving"?
