Last Saturday, we went to Trey's house to celebrate his 3rd birthday. His theme was race cars. Rachel, his mom, made such a cute cake. Drew had fun playing with Trey. Actually they seemed to have the most fun chasing each other.

Back to work...uh, I mean school
Wow!! What a difference a year can make. Last year Drew didn't want to go to school and cried for several days. But today he was excited to go and (in his own words) "Mom, I have to go and do my work". Where did my baby go??? As I was leaving, I saw him in the window trying on all these fun, dress-up hats. He looked like he was having a great time.

"Buh"
This past Thursday and Friday, Drew and Rebecca went to spend some time with Grammy and Papa. So we only had one of our babies with us, Belle, or as Becca calls her "Buh".
"Buh" was Rebecca's first "word". Naw, I don't mind that the dog's name was her first word and not "mama" or even "dada". I guess Rebecca has my love of dogs.
Anyway, I am not sure what Belle thought about all the peace and quiet. She was able to be out in the house a little more. She seems to hide when the kids are around so that her tail doesn't get pulled or her ears tugged on. That is until someone has some food out. Rebecca loves to give Belle some of her extras. Belle is such a great dog and puts up with a lot. I thought that it is only fitting for her to have a little mention in the blog.

Party Time
On Saturday, we had a good time celebrating our friend, Dominic's 4th birthday. Dominic's mom and I were roommates at Baylor. I am happy that we are able to get together sometimes so our kids can see each other and play.

Monkey See, Monkey Do
Lately Rebecca is attempting to do anything her big brother does. Drew was doing somersaults, so there was Becca bent over, head on the floor, trying to do one too. Drew folds his hands to pray, so does Rebecca. So precious. Drew "writes" on the aquadoodle, so does Rebecca. Drew blows on his whistle (one of the WORST gifts to ever give a 3 year old, thanks mom!), Rebecca blows on the whistle. Drew rides his big wheel, Rebecca "rides" her big wheel. Well, she can't reach the pedals, she just pushes it with her feet. We look forward to see what Drew will teach her next.
Rebecca finally has her teeth coming in. She is only 14 months, after all. She is getting the bottom two, and then yesterday I felt a top one coming in. She understands lots. I told her to throw away a dirty diaper and she took it all the way to the trash and threw it in. I was surprised at that. I didn't know she knew what the trash was. Oh wait, on second thought, I have to keep telling her to get out of the trash can, so I guess she does know.
Star Struck
Sunday at church was the last night of Small Town USA. Drew met a few famous characters. He took pictures with Darth Vader, Superman, Buzz Lightyear, and Woody. Since he is often shy when he first meets people, I thought that he might be hesitant. Boy, was I wrong. He went right up and really didn't want to walk away. I had a glimpse of what will be occurring in a few years... Disney World.

Fire Museum
Yesterday Kelly, Brett, and I took the kids to the Houston Fire Museum. It wasn't very big, but Drew enjoyed "driving" the fire truck and turning on the lights and siren. Rebecca wants to do everything that her big brother does so she wanted to "drive", too. We drew the line at allowing her to slide down the pole. She did climb up the ladder a few rungs. Fearless.
