Caden turns 9
Becca's Day Out
Last year I was able to do fun things with just Drew on the day he was out of school and when Becca was at MDO. Now this year it is Becca's turn. A couple of weeks ago, we met up with some friends and went to the zoo. It was a beautiful day and the zoo is a great place. Rebecca loves the animals and it wears kids out. My kind of place. I look forward to having other adventures with just my girl!
Sea World Again
When we went to Sea World in the summer, the deal we got included passes for the entire year and free parking (I am really excited to not have to spend $15 to park!). So in early Oct. we went back for just the day. Poor Drew wasn't feeling well, but he did go on the big roller coaster and had fun on that. Rebecca rode the kiddie roller coaster and she acted as if it was the greatest thing. She screamed and held her hands up. It was fun to go back, but next time we will be sure everyone is feeling good!

Grammy turns 29 (again)!
Maxine celebrated a milestone birthday on Oct. 6th. ( I am not telling what number it is, but look closely for the clue) We are so fortunate to have such a great mother, mother-in-law, wife and grandmother in our lives. I am especially lucky that she raised such a great son to be a great husband (and I am sure Rachel feels the same way, too! About Marcus, that is.). Hope you enjoyed your day!

National Night Out
Brett had to work late and missed most of the action. By action, I mean he missed out on me holding Rebecca while she tried to feed the horses carrots and keep all her fingers away from the horses' teeth. And while I was holding Rebecca, trying to keep her fingers out of the horses' mouth, I was trying to not have the horses step on my feet. Rebecca loved those horses. After all the other kids were through petting and feeding them, Rebecca was still there wanting to pet them. (More action) Drew got bit by an ant. Then Drew was running and fell and skinned his arms and legs pretty good which brought our evening to a close. But in between all that, I visited with neighbors and ate some good food.
Soccer - Year 2
Soccer season has started. We play through our church's league. Drew is on the purple team. What a difference a year can make. Drew is much more aggressive in going after the ball and also seems to be one of the few kids who "plays defense". He has scored goals in all 3 games so far and is enjoying himself.
