It's that time of year (again)

Kelly, Drew, Rebecca, and I went on our annual trip to the Livestock Show and Carnival. We had a great time seeing the animals and the kids had fun on the rides.

Tuh Tuh "splurged" on this "ride" for her favorite nephew! He got inside this big "balloon" that they filled with air and sat on top of the water. Drew flipped and turned and had a great time. He said it was his favorite. She loves to ride the merry-go-round.

Bugz

At Drew's school last week, the entire Kindergarten put on the play, Bugz. All of the children were different insects. Drew was a bumblebee and his line was, "You're probably wondering what we are, dressed up with antennas and wings." He was very excited about his first theatrical production. He did such a good job!

He's a skier

On our second (and final) day of skiing, we started out the day with Drew on the "bunny" slope. We decided to put a harness on him so that Brett could ski behind him and hold on to Drew so that he wouldn't be out of control. Then we went down the practice hill a couple of times. Drew's confidence was up and he was ready to hit the green trails (the easiest). By the end of our time, Drew was skiing down the mountain without the harness. It was so great to see him go. Mostly I saw him from behind because he would ski right past me. Oh well, I knew he would be better than me (most people are)! I am sure that he and Brett will make great ski partners one day soon. Now we have to teach Becca!

Ski Trip Cont.

We stayed at the same place in Taos that we did last year. We skied at Sipapu like last year, as well. It is a great, tiny place. I never have to worry about losing Drew (and Brett). Everyone ends up at the same spot. We started our first day of skiing signing Drew up for an hour lesson. He did great on the tiny, bunny hill. But soon he was ready to conquer the bigger mountain.

Ski Trip 2011

Last week we went to New Mexico to go skiing. Drew loved it last year and he was so excited to get to go again. We arrived on Saturday too late to go skiing so we took advantage of the nice weather for some photos.
