Our first Easter Egg hunt

This was from our neighborhood Easter Egg hunt last Saturday.

Drew, Bunny, Becca

She found one!
Turns out she didn't pick this one up. The reason... it is green.
When she got home we realized that she only picked up the pink and purple eggs.
She is such a girl!
He doesn't care what color the egg is!

And they call the thing Rodeo

Forgive me if these pictures look very familiar to last year's pics. There isn't much difference from last year's rodeo to this year's. Well Drew is taller and Rebecca has more hair. The rodeo is such a good time and we look forward to it every year! The smiles from the carnival make it all worth it!

That is one, big bunny!

Drew and Kelly on the Ferris Wheel.
Can you see his right hand? He is making the sign for "I love you". My sweet boy.

Aren't they having fun?

Becca couldn't wait to ride the Merry-Go-Round and wanted to choose "a pretty horse"

Doesn't his face say it all?

Having such a wonderful time!
At the end of the day (for us) and we had a few more tickets to use up. I didn't want to wait in any more lines for rides so I decided to let Drew play one of the carnival games. We never do that because it seems like a waste since you never win one of those things, but again I was ready to go. We chose one where you hit the balloon with a dart and win a stuffed animal. Drew took his turn and missed (of course). Now Becca is saying she wants her turn (of course) and I am praying that we have enough tickets (everything is electronically scanned so I never knew how many tickets were left on the card). The next thing I know, she pops the balloon. Can you believe it? Now I am waiting for the problem to start since Becca has won something and Drew hasn't. Ugh! I am now wondering why I thought this was a good idea. But God is good. I have just enough tickets for one more turn and can't believe it when Drew pops his own balloon. Whew... that could have been such a disaster! We left the rodeo, tired, but lucky me, with a new stuffed puppy and a stuffed pig!

Spring Carnival

Drew's school had its Spring Carnival. The kids had fun playing games, jumping in the bounce houses, and doing crafts. It was a great day for the entire family!

End of Basketball

Drew finished out his season greatly improved from the beginning. In his last game, he scored 5 baskets!! Way to go, Drew! He was so excited to get his medal. Now on to T-Ball!

Skiing

We made the long journey to Taos, NM to take Drew skiing for the first time. It wasn't hard to convince Brett that we should go. He LOVES to ski and is hoping Drew will also have a love of it. No worries, I think that we have Drew hooked. He had a great time. We stayed in the town of Taos and skied at a little resort called Sipapu.

Brett trying to give Drew some lessons. We won't try this again. Next time we will definitely splurge for lessons. But Drew had a great time "skiing" with Brett. Brett did all the work and Drew got the benefits. Drew loves telling how fast HE went down the mountain and how HE made some jumps.

Here he is trying out the bunny hill. And it is snowing.

It snowed on us quite a bit. Everything was really beautiful. The trees were so picturesque with snow in their branches.

Pretty view

Isn't he cute in all his gear?

Making a snow angel outside our motel. Drew had just as much fun playing in the snow as he did skiing.

We stopped to have a "snow picnic". We tried to make a snowman, threw snowballs at each other and had a great time playing in the soft powder.

He loved eating the snow!

Drew took our picture

Sitting by the roaring fire. A good way to end the day!

This fire was huge and Drew could have sat there all day, except that his love of fires seems to be eclipsed by his love of skiing. Mom, I thought of you and knew you would have enjoyed this part of skiing!
