Halloween 2011... a lot like last year!

Last year Rebecca went as a Princess. Drew went as a character from Star Wars. This year Rebecca went as a Princess and Drew went as a character from Star Wars. Wonder what next year will be???

Rebecca was so excited to be Cinderella. She wanted to be Cinderella last year, but since we had some pink accessories I talked her into being Aurora (Sleeping Beauty, who is a pink princess). You would think that I would learn. I tried my hardest for her to choose another princess that dresses a little differently. Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella seems so similar except for the color of their dresses. I asked her if she wanted to be Snow White or Ariel from Little Mermaid. No, she wanted to be Cinderella. And she did make a beautiful princess!!

Our princess

Drew was Darth Vader when he was 4, Boba Fett when he was 5 (I still don't know who that is), and now Captain Rex (again, I am clueless to who this is. Some Star Wars guy. Hopefully good??)

Ready to go

Hurry with the pictures mom, let's get on with the trick or treating

Cub Scout Day

Drew (and Brett) have joined the cub scouts. So many of his friends joined this year and Drew didn't want to miss out on the fun. Drew and Brett have had to miss several of the events this fall so the first one they attended was seeing Battleship Texas and the San Jacinto Monument.

I can see clearly now....

Since Brett and I both wear glasses/contacts, it wasn't a huge surprise to us that Drew would need glasses. Last year it wasn't much of a problem because most of his work was at his desk and didn't require looking at the board a lot. But in 1st grade he was having difficulty seeing the board. So luckily he only needs them right now for far off distances. I think he looks great (in or out of glasses)!!!

Don't you love seeing the same pics year after year?

We made our annual visit to a nearby church for their pumpkin patch. The kids love to chose their own pumpkin. Because I had heard that the drought had effected the pumpkin supply, I was worried that there wouldn't be many to pick from or take pictures with. I was happily wrong. Here are a few photos from our day.

I am a lucky girl!!

Love them so much!

Millionaire Club

Drew's school district encouraged the children to read over the summer. If you read 5 books, you were considered part of the Millionaire Club. There was a celebration at his school for the children that read at least 5. Great job, Drew. We are proud of your reading skills.

Caden's Birthday

Time to celebrate Caden's 10th Birthday. He had his party at a skating rink. It was Drew and Becca's first time to roller skate. Drew improved quite a bit in the 2 hours while Rebecca thought she had mastered it the whole time. She loved having Amanda's attention and holding her hand around the rink. Happy Birthday Caden!! We have great cousins!

She should have stood and blocked that unfortunate dog!
