Christmas Eve

We started our Christmas celebration by attending Christmas Eve service at our church. It was Rebecca's first time to attend big church and she did great. Drew looks forward to it because there is the candle lighting at the end and he loves to get to hold the candle and stare at the flame. It always makes me a little afraid. Then we went to my parents' house to eat and open gifts. It was a nice beginning to our Christmas.

Christmas Fun Continues

Enjoying hot chocolate and a cookie
We went to First Baptist's Candy Cane Lane for some Christmas Fun. There were bounce houses, a mechanical bull, hot chocolate, sugar cookies and lots of fun!

Fun for All Seasons

Getting ready for his big part!
He spoke his line so clearly.
Drew and his teacher
The first grade put on the play "Fun for All Seasons". Each class had a different season to sing about. Brett took off work early to be there, but got caught in traffic due to a road closure. Fortunately Drew's part was near the end so he got there just in time to see him. When Drew saw him, I could tell he was so relieved to see his daddy. Drew's line was, "We may be meteorologists, you know us as the local weathermen, but you first graders sound like the real experts to me." He did such a great job. We were so proud of him!

Christmas Parties

Drew's class had a fun, but quick party. They ate some food, played Bingo, made an ornament. Drew has a great class with lots of sweet friends!

Rebecca's school had a little Christmas performance before her Christmas party. She sang a couple of songs. So sweet!
