First graders at our church are presented with their own Bible. We are so proud of our boy and hope that this will help him begin a love affair with the BEST book that there is to have.

The B-I-B-L-E
The B-I-B-L-E, yes that's the book for me. I stand alone on the word of God, the B-I-B-L-E.

Rebecca goes to Pre-K
Rebecca started Pre-K. She was so ready to go and not scared at all. Sometimes there are definite advantages in being the younger sibling. She is in the same class as Drew was and has one of the same teachers. I just love the little school. It is so sweet! On the first day, Rebecca just walked right in the classroom and was good to go. No tears or missing mommy from this one! I guess that is better, but one tear would be nice!

7 states in 6 years
For Drew that is. He has been to Texas (of course), Louisiana, New Mexico, Illinois, Washington, California, and now Florida. Pretty good travel record for only being 6!
A co-worker of Brett's had a time share in Destin that they weren't going to be able to use this year and asked Brett if we would like it. Even though we would have to take Drew out of school, I was all for it. Sometimes I think that spending time with your family is so much more important than school. Also now Rebecca knows where Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida are on a map.
As it turns out it was a very quick trip. Tropical Storm Lee changed our plans and we had to leave a day early. But the kids were able to play in white sand and get out in the water a little (the current was too strong to swim in the water). Rebecca loved that there was an outdoor AND indoor pool at the condo. Also it proves that my kids are great travelers! So while it wasn't the relaxing vacation we planned, we still were thankful to spend time together as a family!

She wanted to pose for me. Do you think she has her picture taken too much???
