Life on the farm

Brett and his mom took my city-slicker children to Louisiana to visit Aunt Darla and Uncle Joel. Oh my they had such a great time.

ABCs of Texas

The kindergarten play was titled the ABCs of Texas. It was so cute. Each letter of the alphabet corresponded with something about Texas. "A is for Austin, the capital of Texas. B is for boots, crafted by hand, C is cowboys and cattle, riding over the dusty trail." The songs were also so cute. They learned "Deep in the Heart of Texas", "Texas, Our Texas", and "She'll be Comin Round the Mountain".

Rebecca had one of the opening lines, "Howdy partner, Welcome to our show. The ABC's of Texas."

Morning Announcements

Drew had his last turn doing morning announcements at Ashford. I think that this was my first time to ever see Drew say the announcement. Poor first born, mommy didn't know to come.
