Christmas morning

I think he is excited

This years Christmas morning got off to a better start than last years. Last year, Drew woke up and thought that Santa would be there. We had told him that Santa was coming so that is what a 3 year old thought. That Santa would actually be there. We didn't think to tell him that Santa wouldn't be staying. He was so upset that Santa wasn't in the playroom. So this year we made sure to be clear that Santa would come, but would not be here when he woke.

I should also note that while we are letting Santa be apart of our Christmas, we have tried to be very clear that the real meaning of Christmas is that it is Jesus' birthday. It is a hard balance, but we are trying to let Drew and Rebecca have the fun of Santa with the true meaning of Jesus Christ coming to Earth for us.

We spent the afternoon with the Seviers. Drew and Rebecca love to be with Amanda, Carson, Caden, and Wesley. It was a wonderful day.
