Sea World

We took our first family of four vacation to Sea World in San Antonio two weeks ago. I think the word "experience" might be more accurate than a "vacation". There wasn't much resting or taking it easy. We braved the 100 degree temps to take the kids. They had a blast. The first day we spent a great deal of time at the water park section. Too bad, no pictures of me in a bathing suit. Then the second day we did the rides. We saw some of the animal shows and exhibits on both days.

Day 2

Becca's first roller coaster... it went around 2 times

Drew likes it!

I HAD to take this picture. Drew is being so sweet and Becca... well, we get this a lot. She will love this picture one day when she is older. Ha! (that is why I kept her in the shot!)

This was a kid's splash pad. Not the water park we went to the first day.

We enjoyed the log ride. It took Brett and me back to our Astroworld days!
We also ran into our neighbors (we knew they would be there) and Drew and Becca loved seeing their girls.

Drew rode his first "real" roller coaster, the Steel Eel. He went with Brett first. Brett kept telling me how much Drew loved it and Brett loved seeing Drew have so much fun on it. So I thought that Drew could ride it again and this time I would go with him. Goodness, I haven't been on a roller coaster in years and I guess I am starting to get old so I wasn't jumping to go on it. But we went. I survived. But I never opened my eyes to see the thrill in my baby's eyes. I would definitely go back on it and maybe next time my eyes will open just a tad!

It was fun to take a trip with the four of us. We look forward to going back. Hopefully when it's cooler. With Texas weather that might be January!
