During Spring Break, we hosted a sweet girl for the week, Stella, the prairie dog. Drew's science teacher asked if we would keep Stella over the break. I think that we said yes before we really thought it through. Her cage was HUGE!! She lives in a two-story cage!! She came with a harness and leash. The kids would "walk" her around the kitchen and after about 10 minutes she would be worn out. They would put her back in her cage and go right to sleep. She is a really sweet animal and we enjoyed having her, but hopefully I am through with guests for awhile. I don't plan on hosting the snake, the bearded dragon, or any other creature that I would have to feed with dead mice or crickets.Tuesday, March 20, 2012
