We have so many reasons to be thankful: our health, our families, Brett's job. I could go on and on. I was listening to a message on Focus on the Family and the man said that he had visited some poor areas in other countries where they dig through dumps looking for items and food. Then he said how those people would be so excited by our trash that we (Americans) throw out. Very convicting. Our garbage would be someone else's treasure. I am so fortunate that my kids don't have to eat out of the trash and I never worry that we will have 3 meals to eat or that we will have a roof over our head or be warm at night.
I spent a crazy Friday trying to juggle seeing my kids at both of their schools. Drew's school does a sailing of the Mayflower (the 2nd graders have speaking roles) so I went to see him be a Pilgrim on the boat. Then I went to Becca's school to see her sing and share in a "feast". Then I went back to visit Drew while they celebrated with some desserts. Crazy, yet Thankful.
We were able to spend Thanksgiving with my family and then with Brett's family. A nice family day with great food. Thankful!!
